Hattie Hapes Hattie Hapes, age 75, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2013, at Livingston Manor, Chillicothe, Missouri. Hattie was born the daughter of Albert and Elise Mae Batson (Bennett) on December, 18, 1937, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a longtime resident of Wheeling, Missouri. She is survived by her three daughters, Brenda Louise Moss, and husband Darrell, of Wheeling, Missouri, Janet Caselman, of Wheeling, Missouri, Debra Sue Moss, and husband David, of Chillicothe, Missouri; four sisters, Donna Stringham, of Wheeling, Missouri, Pat Anderson, of Independence, Missouri, Shelia Tredway, of Gladstone, Missouri, Joyce Lopez, of Independence, Missouri; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Maurice "Doc" Hapes; her parents; one sister, Jackie Vaughn; one brother, Ronnie Batson. Funeral service will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, March 4, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. A family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home on Sunday, March 3, 2013, from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri.
