**Obituary for Harold Eugene "Mick" Norris Jr.**
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Harold Eugene "Mick" Norris Jr., who departed this life on Tuesday, November 12th, 2024, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Born the son of Harold Eugene and Jane (Dilley) Norris on Monday, January 2nd, 1956, in Alton, Illinois, Mick lived a life full of passion, dedication, and love. Education played a significant role in his life. He attended high school in Alton, Illinois, before attending CMSU in Warrensburg, Missouri. Mick's passion for learning and teaching was evident in every facet of his work and personal life.
Mick was a beloved automotive tech teacher in Raytown, Missouri, where he inspired countless students with his expertise and enthusiasm for both teaching and cars. His love for automobiles was matched by his fervor for motorcycles, music, and the outdoors. His free time was filled with activities such as snow skiing, disc golf, hunting, fishing, camping, and grilling. He was also an avid brewer and devoted himself to perfecting the art of BBQ, a passion that will be lovingly remembered by all who had the pleasure of sharing a meal with him.
A man of great heart and spirit, Mick is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Linda Guilford Norris, of the home; two sisters, Bunny Scott and husband, Charles Scott, MD, and Jill Igo and husband, Richard; and one brother, Bill Norris and wife, Patty; and by numerous nieces and nephews, who will continue to cherish the many memories they shared with him. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and in-laws, Gale and Lois Guilford.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, November 18th, 2024, at 10:30 am. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri at 9:30 a.m., one hour prior to service. Burial will be held at Lakeside Cemetery, Sumner, Missouri. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home on Sunday, November 17th, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
