Harold Dean "Buck" McBee
Harold Dean "Buck" McBee, age 62, of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019, surrounded by his loving family and friends at Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.
Buck was born on July 25th, 1956, to Harold "Buck" and Norma (McCrary) McBee in Chillicothe, Missouri. He grew up as an only child in Stet, Missouri, and graduated from Stet High School in 1974. He was a driver for Rooney Trucking since late 2013. In his earlier years, Buck was a singer-songwriter and he would occasionally still surprise his loved ones with a song he had written for them for a special occasion or even no occasion at all. Buck found joy in camping, hunting, doing DIY projects with his wife, and spending lots of time with his family and friends.
On May 27th, 1988, Buck married Linda Long of Chillicothe, Missouri, who survives of the home.
Buck is also survived by three children: Allisha Eckert of Chillicothe, Missouri (Dennis Eckert), Kyle McBee of Cowgill, Missouri, and Shian McBee of Saint Joseph, Missouri; three grandchildren: Brianna Eckert of Saint Joseph, Missouri, Mason and Carter Eckert of Chillicothe, Missouri; and sister-in-law Debbie Long of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida (Pat Allee). Buck was preceded in death by both of his parents and mother-in-law, Dorothy Long.
Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, March 29, 2019, at 1:30 PM. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, March 29, 2019, from 12:00 noon to 1:30 P.M. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, March 28, 2019, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
