Hardee Richey

Hardee H. Richey Hardee H. Richey passed from this life at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2015, at Golden Ague Nursing Home, Braymer, Missouri. Hardee was born to Archie J. Richey and Ora B (Phillips) Richey on October 13, 1923, south of Braymer, Missouri, at a rural Hardin, Missouri, address. He served in the Army Air Core in WWII stationed in India. He was married to Maurine Ruth Johnson on June 29, 1946. Hardee worked most of his life in construction as a self-employed carpenter, living and working in and around Braymer, Missouri. He was a life time member of the American Legion Post Tweedie, Murray #117, He was a fifty year member of the Masonic lodge with many years as the District Grand lecturer. He had discovered the sport of golf late in life and maintained his and a friends private golf course for many years. Hardee was preceded in death by both his parents, two brothers Ivan Richey and Harold Richey, A stepson Johnson O. Heisterberg, A son Hugh Hoyt Richey. Hardee is survived by a daughter Sandra J. and Orson Jordan of Lolo, Montana, sons, Jerry D., Lisa L (Henderson) Richey of Hamilton, Mo., Kenneth L. Richey of Braymer, Mo. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Per Hardee's request no formal funeral service is scheduled. His body will be cremated. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Braymer, Mo. in a private ceremony at a later date.
