Gregory Leon Osgood, age 65, a resident of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at Cox Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri.
Gregg was born the son of Earl "Bud" and Ruth (Mitchell) Osgood on November 29, 1954 in Livingston County, Missouri. He graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1972. He worked for Republic Ford as an auto parts salesman for many years. Gregg loved hunting quail and enjoyed fishing. He was lifelong KC Royals and Kansas City Chiefs fan.
Survivors include three brothers, Jerry Osgood and wife Susan of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, Russ Murphy and wife Michelle of Springfield, Missouri, and Troy Lacey and wife Ann of Springfield, Missouri; one sister, Debbie Lewis and husband Tom of Lee's Summit, Missouri; step-mother, Marcie Osgood of Shell Knob, Missouri; several nieces and nephews, and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held at the Avalon Cemetery, Avalon, Missouri, on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at 3:00 p.m. There is no scheduled visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, February 7, 2020, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Avalon Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
