Grace Louise Archer, age 90, a resident of Aurora, Colorado, a former resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Shalom Park, Aurora, Colorado.
Grace was born the daughter of Maurice P. Martin, Sr., and Margaret (O'Connor) Martin on October 10, 1930, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was a 1949 graduate of St. Joseph High School. Grace was united in marriage to David Wayne Archer on August 29, 1953, at St. Columban Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1991. She was a member of the St. Columban Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Grace attended the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, Aurora, Colorado. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the hospital auxiliary in Claremore, Oklahoma. Grace was active in her bridge club, and enjoyed playing bunko.
Survivors include three sons, Patrick Archer of Dallas, Texas, Michael Archer of Catoosa, Oklahoma, and Joseph Archer and wife Pam of Hernandez, New Mexico; one daughter, Eileen Atchley and husband Steve of Aurora, Colorado; three grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Wayne Archer; one daughter-in-law, Denise Williams; three brothers, John, Pat, and Bob Martin; and five sisters, Mary Eleanor, Genevieve, Agnes, Katie, and Eileen; and one foster sister, Helen Donohue.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Columban Catholic, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, June 14, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. A Parish Rosary will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, June 13, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. with visitation to follow. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, June 13, 2021, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at St. Columban Catholic Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Claremore Meals on Wheels and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
