Glenn R. Bate, Jr. Glenn R. Bate, Jr., age 48, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, at Mosaic Life Care, St. Joseph, Missouri. Glenn was born the son of Glenn R. and Patricia (Nichols) Bate on January 20, 1969, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He worked as a fork lift operator for the United States Government for many years. He was a member of the House of Prayer Rescue Mission, Chillicothe, Missouri. Glenn enjoyed fishing, camping, being outdoors, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his mother, Patricia Harding of Plattsburg, Missouri; one daughter, Ashley D. Wohletz and husband Avery of Blue Springs, Missouri; one brother, John W. Bate and wife Shelly of Kansas City, Kansas; and three sisters, Angela Mall and husband James of Shawnee, Kansas, Jennifer Redmond of Kansas City, Kansas, and Rebecca Bodde and husband Joe of Shawnee, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Robert and Marilyn Nichols; and paternal grandparents, George and Helen Bate. A memorial service will be held at the House of Prayer Rescue Mission, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
