Geraldine "Jeri" Pratt, age 93, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020, at The Baptist Home, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Jeri was born the daughter of Forest Roy and Ruby (Phipps) Snyder on July 27, 1927, in Corydon, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Perry "Huck" Pratt on April 7, 1946, at the Fairfield Christian Church, Fairfield, Iowa. He preceded her in death on July 17, 2007. She worked for Harrisonville High School for many years as a "cafeteria lady". Jeri was a member of the First Baptist Church in Harrisonville, Missouri, where she was very active in WMU (Women's Missionary Union). She then transferred her membership to the First Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Jeri was an avid walker. She enjoyed helping others at The Baptist Home. Jeri also enjoyed giving the children in her neighborhood free perms.
Survivors include two sons, Dan Mathew Pratt and wife Brenda of Kansas City, Missouri, and Troy Dean Pratt of Crown Point, Indiana; three daughters, Terrisa "Teri" Jeanne Johnson and husband Allen of Bossier City, Louisiana; Cheryl Ann "Chanie" Thomas of Bourbon, Missouri, and Wendy Hendershot of Rogers, Texas; fifteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Perry "Huck"; three brothers, Forest, Keith, and Norman Snyder; and three sisters, Donna Carrico, Louise Lanam, and Ruth Lou Dorothy.
Private family inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the North Missouri Baptist Home and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601. Online condolences may be made at www.lindleyfuneralhomes.com .
