Geraldine E. Marolf

Geraldine E. Marolf, age 85, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at St. Luke's hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Geraldine was born the daughter of Claude and Pearl (Moss) Gardner on August 26, 1926 in Chillicothe, Missouri. In 1982 she was united in marriage to Ernest Marolf in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. Geraldine worked as an Electronic Tech for A.M.C. in Santa Barbara, California. She was also a member of the Chillicothe Eagles Aerie No. 2428. She is survived by one son, Norman Ray Jacobs Jr. and wife Carol of Columbia, Tennessee; one brother, Billy Gardner of Chillicothe, Missouri; three sisters, Linda Griffith of Trenton, Missouri, Carolyn Mendez of Reno, Nevada and Dorothy Booth of Chillicothe, Missouri: six grandchildren, David Jacobs and wife Genny of Double Springs, Alabama, Jeanne Johnston and husband Barry of Columbia, Tennessee, Lisa Meise and husband Tim of Columbia, Tennessee, Steven Jacobs and wife Holly of Killen, Alabama, Brian Jacobs of Solvang, California, and Jeremy Jacobs and wife Shaina of Solvang, California; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest Marolf; a son, Donnie Jacobs; two sisters, Viola Knouse and Claudine Kline; and three brothers. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Missouri. A family visitation will be held on Friday at the Lindley Funeral Home from 10:00a.m. - 11:00a.m. Friends may call the funeral home on Thursday, September 29, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Chillicothe, Missouri.
