Gerald "Jerry" W. Vadnais Gerald "Jerry" W. Vadnais, age 82, a resident of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018, at Golden Age Living Center, Stover, Missouri. Jerry was born the son of Raymond and Nellie (Walz) Vadnais on August 24, 1935, in Mexico, Missouri. He was a 1953 graduate of Clay Center High School, Clay Center, Kansas. He served in the United States Navy from 1953 until 1957. Jerry was united in marriage to Joan Bills on May 18, 1958, in Mooresville, Missouri. She survives of the home. Jerry worked as an Air Traffic Controller for the United States Aviation Department in Kansas City, Missouri, for 29 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Jerry was an avid NASCAR fan, especially of Richard Petty. Survivors include his wife, Joan, of the home; three daughters, Cindy and Dayl Rice, of Richmond, Missouri, Becky and Andy Cummins, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Debbie and Kevin Edmands, of Grand Junction, Colorado; and seven grandchildren, Tyler Larsen, Cody Larsen, Zach Edmands, Jennifer Lombardo, Brandon Cummins, Tim Hill, and Michael Rice; and 5 great-grandchildren, and many other friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Raymond R Vadnais. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, February 8, 2018, one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, from 12 noon until 5:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Utica Cemetery, Utica, Missouri, with military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to Victory Junction (a camp for handicapped children) and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
