George Franklin Ewing

George Franklin Ewing, age 88, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Hedrick Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
George was born the son of Guy and Elna (Cox) Ewing on July 13, 1936, in Trenton, Missouri. He was a 1954 graduate of Trenton High School. He was united in marriage to Margaret “Helen” Crawford on September 15, 1957, in Trenton, Missouri. She preceded him in death on March 10, 2017.
George was a member of the Chillicothe Lions Club. He was a carpet layer as well as service and delivery for Donoho and Clark’s Furniture stores. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking and liked to craft with gourds.
Survivors include two daughters, Tamy Jo Ewing of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Kristy Kay Shafer and husband JD of Chillicothe, Missouri; and one brother Kenneth Ewing (Laura) of Trenton, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Helen.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
