Geneva Frances (Willard) Grimes Geneva Frances (Willard) Grimes, age 98, a resident of Gower, Missouri, former resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed onto her heavenly home on Monday, June 10, 2013, at Gower Convalescent Center, Gower, Missouri. Geneva was born in rural Chillicothe, Missouri, on April 5, 1915, to Roy and Cora Elva (Clark) Willard. She was united in marriage to Carroll T. Grimes on August 4, 1935, in Jamesport, Missouri. She and Carroll enjoyed the fellowship of several Baptist Churches in the area. They also were active in the Chillicothe Woodmen of the World and UCT Lodges. In the 60's she worked in the Central School cafeteria of Chillicothe and retired from there in 1980. Geneva was an excellent cook and a caregiver by nature. Her top priority was always her family and her faith. After losing her husband of 61 years on November 5, 1996, Geneva moved to Gower, MO in 1997. She became a member of the Gower Christian Church. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Darlene Saale and husband John of Gower, Missouri; two grandchildren, Dalyn Farr and husband Boyce of Aiken, South Carolina, and Devin Saale and wife Melissa of Platte City, Missouri; six great grandchildren, Hunter Farr and Gracen Farr of Aiken, South Carolina, Trevor Farr of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Collin, Nolan, and Brooklyn Saale all of Platte City, Missouri; two great-great grandchildren, Hayden and Kharma Farr of St. Joseph, Missouri; one sister, Phyllis Capps and husband Don of Laredo, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Lorene Willard and Cleo Willard both of Chillicothe, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Carroll; four brothers, Floyd, Leroy, Homer, and infant George Willard; and three nieces, Pam Thompson, Nancy Stucker, and Linda Anderson. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, June 13, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, June 13, 2013, one hour prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
