Geneva E. Goucher Geneva E. Goucher, age 101, a resident of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015, at Excelsior Springs Medical Center, Excelsior Springs, Missouri. Geneva was born the daughter of Daniel and Ola (Murdock) Bowman on August 26, 1913, in Livingston County, Missouri. She was a 1931 graduate of Chillicothe High School. After graduation she attended Kirksville Teachers College. She was united in marriage to Kelsie Goucher on February 5, 1938, in Kirksville, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 27, 1990. Geneva worked for the Mooresville Post Office for several years. She was a member of the Woods Memorial Christian Church, Excelsior Springs, Missouri. She was also a member of the Grand River Historical Society, Roy L. Burkett VFW Post 858 Auxiliary, Hedrick Medical Center Auxiliary, and served as a 4-H Leader. Geneva was one of the first 4-H children in Livingston County to win a trip to the World's Fair in Chicago. Survivors include two sons, John Goucher and wife June of Ludlow, Missouri, and Bill Goucher and wife Sherry of Kansas City, Missouri; one daughter, Elizabeth J. Jones and husband Bob of Lawson, Missouri; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kelsie; two brothers, Merle and Earl Bowman; two sisters, Ada Tolle and Naida Wells. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, February 18, 2015, one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, February 18, 2015, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
