Gene M. Grewell, age 71, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Life Care Center, Brookfied, Missouri.
Gene was born the son of Howard and Florence (Cooper) Grewell on August 28, 1952 in Ames, Iowa. He attended school in Ames where he graduated from the Ames Sr. High School in 1970. He was a maintenance supervisor for a car dealership for many years in Omaha, Nebraska. He was definitely a “jack of all trades.” He could take anything apart and put it back together and it still worked or worked better than before. He also remodeled his sister’s house from top to bottom. He enjoyed electronics and gizmos. Gene was very artistic as he could play music with his guitar and he also enjoyed painting.
Survivors include his sister, Sharyn McCoskey of Trenton, Missouri; Uncle Delmar Woodward and Aunt Marge Thompson both of Ames, Iowa; his friends at Bella Brook and several other cousins and friends. Gene was preceded in death by his parents and his dog, Sammie.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at May Cemetery in Chula, Missouri at 1:00 p.m. There is no scheduled visitation.
