Gary W. Peterie

Gary W. Peterie, age 53, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away at Hedrick Medical Center on Friday, December 24, 2010. He was born on March 3, 1957, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Allen and Joan (McDonald) Peterie. He was a 1975 graduate of Wheeling High School. Gary worked as marketing and ads sales representative for Hillyard Chemical Company for many years. He was also a member of the United States Army from 1976 to 1979. Gary was a member the Chillicothe Elks 656 and was a former member of the Sweet Springs Lions Club. Survivors include his mother Joan of Trenton, Missouri; four daughters Kelly Kissick of Chillicothe, Missouri, Kasey and husband Tom Doolittle of Trenton, Missouri, Kandi Peterie of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Kati and Fiancé Ryan Bush of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; three brothers Ricky and wife Dionis Peterie of Trenton, Missouri, Johnny Peterie of Trenton, Missouri, and Alvin Peterie of Trenton, Missouri; three sisters Debbie and husband John Sanning of Trenton, Missouri, Connie and husband Jim Harvey of Chula, Missouri, and Mary and husband Scott Ireland of Meadville, Missouri; he is also survived by eight grandchildren, Gaige and Faith Berryman of Columbia, Tylor, Tierney, and Seth Doolittle of Trenton, Kale and Skylar Bush of Pleasant Hill, and Gavin Cooper of Chillicothe; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Allen, his paternal grandparents Ted and Eula Peterie, and maternal grandparents Joe and Mary McDonald. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. There will be a scheduled Elks service on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. with the scheduled family visitation to follow after at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home. Friends may call on Wednesday after 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Richardson Cemetery, Laredo, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gary W.
