Gary Corzette, age 59, a fifteen year resident of Omaha, Nebraska, and former resident of Dawn, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.
Gary, the son of Edwin and Ramah (Neely) Corzette, was born on January 20, 1962 in Chillicothe, Missouri. He graduated from Tina-Avalon High School in 1980. Gary owned and operated a dairy for more than half of his adult life near Dawn, Missouri, in addition to engaging in a variety of farm labor throughout Livingston County. For approximately twenty years, Gary also participated in annual wheat harvests, traveling throughout several Midwestern and Rocky Mountain States. He considered this a labor of love. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his father, Edwin Corzette of Chillicothe, Missouri; two brothers, Edwin James Corzette of Bristow, Oklahoma, and Richard Corzette of Houston, Texas; one sister, Janet Williams and her husband Oliver "Wayne" of Harlingen, Texas; one sister-in-law, Brenda Corzette of Bettendorf, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ramah Corzette; one brother, Randy Corzette; maternal grandparents, Roy and Sarah Neely; and paternal grandparents, Abe and Bertha Corzette.
Visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, May 14, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Burial will be at Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested for Quality Living, Inc., in Omaha, Nebraska and/or the Northwest Missouri Steam and Gas Association.
