Gary Oren Case Sr., age 75, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Savannah, Missouri. Gary was born in Chillicothe, Missouri, on July 10, 1936, the son of Laurence A. and Drucilla (Tolman) Case. He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1956, during the Korean Conflict. On December 12, 1959, he was united in marriage to Martha L. Piper in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a lifelong resident of Chillicothe, Missouri. He worked as an electrician for Local 545 in St. Joseph, Missouri, and later ran a used tire business. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a member of the American Legion Vern R. Glick Post 25, and VFW Roy L. Burkett Post 858. Survivors include his wife, Martha Case of Chillicothe, Missouri; three sons, Gary O. Case Jr. and wife Teresa of Texas, Luther O. "Luke" Case and wife Stacy of Savannah, Missouri, and William O. Case and wife Angie of Mooresville, Missouri; daughter Tereasa L. Sullins and husband Ed of Allendale, Missouri; sister Deloris J. Smith of Higginsville, Missouri; twelve grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Laurence A. Case Jr. Graveside services will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, June 25, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation.
