Garrett Wayne Simpson Garrett Wayne Simpson, age 48, a resident of Chula, Missouri, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014, at his residence. Garrett was born the son of Benny and Beverly (Anderson) Simpson on June 28, 1966, in Kansas City, Kansas. He was a 1984 graduate of Chillicothe High School, Chillicothe, Missouri. Garrett served in the United State Marine Corp. He was united in marriage to Jaynie Scott on June 30, 2013, in Chula, Missouri. She survives of the home. Garrett worked for 15 years for the State of Missouri as a Sergeant at Chillicothe Correctional Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, helping his dad with the Livingston County Steam and Gas Engine Association. Garrett loved shooting fireworks during the 4th of July. He also loved good food, family, and spending time with his grandkids. Garrett was a member of the Chula Baptist Church. Survivors include wife Jaynie A. Simpson of the home; one daughter Vanessa Joanne Violet Simpson of Chula, Missouri; one son Josh Dennis and wife Angel of Chillicothe; parents, Benny and Beverly Simpson of Chula, Missouri; four grandchildren, Skylar, Ava, Lillian and Brody Dennis; one brother Jeffery Simpson and nephew Jonathon Boone Bisby of Sedro Woolley, Washington; aunt Donna Fay Thomas of Avalon, Missouri; uncle Wayne Anderson of Braymer, Missouri; and several aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, John Henry and Betty Simpson, and maternal grandparents Dennie Delbert Anderson and Violet LeVon (Fields) Thompson; uncle Victor Anderson; and first cousin Deborah K. Thomas Peterson. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, December 22, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2014. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Plainview Cemetery and/or VFW Post #858 in care of the National Home for Children and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
