Fred DiPalma
Fred DiPalma, age 87, of Gretna, Louisiana died September 29, 2021 at the home of his step-daughter. He was born the son of Fred and May (Lowe) DiPalma on April 23, 1934 in New York.
He was a navy veteran. He was a diesel mechanic for Santa Fe Railroad, Kansas City, Kansas for many years. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge in Kansas City, Kansas, where he was a Third Degree Mason.
He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly Bayes (Collin) of Derby, Kansas, and Kristy Roberts (Kevin) of Kidder, Missouri; step-daughter, Kim Fontenot-Pecot (Elmo) of Gretna, Louisiana; two step-sons, Joseph Chester "Noonie" Fontenot, Jr., and Jefferson Davis "Jeff" Fontenot, all of Louisiana; one sister, Linda Mason (Frank) of Sandston, Virginia; Eleven grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene V. DiPalma on January 19, 2019; and step-daughter, Lisa Ann Fontenot.
Cremation was entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home, New Orleans, Louisiana. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri.
