Franklin Delano Thompson, Sr. Franklin Delano Thompson, Sr., age 71, a resident of Breckenridge, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2016, at North Care Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri. Franklin was born the son of James Luther and Nellie Ilene (Jones) Thompson on April 6, 1945, in Breckenridge, Missouri. He served in the United States Army and 139thAirlift Wing Missouri Air National Guard of St. Joseph, Missouri. Franklin was united in marriage to Sandra (Condron) Thompson on July 13, 1974, at Oakland Christian Church in Hale, Missouri. Franklin worked at John Graves Food for many years and retired as a Correction Officer for the Missouri Department of Corrections. Survivors include one daughter, Alexandra Thompson of Breckenridge, Missouri; three sons, Franklin Delano Thompson, Jr. and wife Holly of Chillicothe, Missouri, Jesse Thompson and wife Codi of Boonville, Missouri, Jim Thompson and wife Ashley of Breckenridge, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Alaina Beth Thompson, Carson Hunter Thompson, Luke Garrett Thompson, Case Hudson Thompson, Easton Braden Thompson, William Wayne Gardner, Kyleigh Jade Thompson, Brantley Creed Thompson; one brother Ronald Thompson and wife Jo of Avenue City, Missouri; six sisters, Lois Martin of Florence, Arizona, Anna Faye Schlemminger of Hamilton, Missouri, Vicki McClintick and husband Larry of St. Joseph, Missouri, Audrey Bowen of Savannah, Missouri, Grace Lund and husband Michael of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Helen Ballentine. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Wednesday, September 28, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri.
