Frank Thompson Frank Thompson, age 67, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at his residence. Frank was born the son of Francis "Art" and Buelah (Bowers) Thompson on June 5, 1947, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He was a 1965 graduate of Chillicothe High School, Chillicothe, Missouri. He served in the United States Army from 1966 until 1969, during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Norma Jean Cox on November 7, 1969, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. Frank worked at the Chillicothe R-II School District for five years. Prior to working for the Chillicothe School District he worked for Minnis Cemetery Service for 10 years and the Lea Kennels in Chillicothe. He was a member of the VFW Vern R. Glick American Legion Post # 25 and the Olive Branch Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Norma Thompson of the home; two sons, Bill Thompson and wife Holly of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Matt Thompson of Chillicothe, Missouri; one sister Patricia Henry of Chillicothe, Missouri; and three grandchildren, Tommy, Joey, and Bo Thompson of Chillicothe, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his father and mother-in-law, Manford and Eva Cox. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, January 2, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, January 1, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Anderson Smith Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Foundation and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
