Guy Franklin Kohler, Jr., age 63, a resident of Lake Tapawingo, Missouri, passed away at his residence on Friday, March 12, 2010. He was born the son of Guy Franklin and Laura Emily (Rosanbalm) Kohler on February 25, 1947 in Washington. He was a 1965 graduate of Harrisonville High School, Harrisonville, Missouri and attended UCM in Warrensburg, Missouri. Guy served in the US Navy Reserves. He was a maintenance engineer for Hallmark Cards for thirty-five years and was a member of the Harrisonville Christian Church in Harrisonville, Missouri. He loved collecting antiques and fishing. Survivors include: his mother Laura Kohler of Overland Park, Kansas, one son, Guy Kohler, III of Rosedale, Indiana; one brother, Gary and wife, Yolanda Kohler of David, Panama; two sisters, Marilyn and husband, Glion Curtis of Westwood Hills, Kansas; and Suzanne and husband, John Pusch of Overland Park, Kansas; and grandson, Guy Franklin Kohler, IV of Rosedale, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, Guy Franklin Kohler, Sr. Services will be at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, Missouri on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. There will be a family visitation on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be at the Orient Cemetery in Harrisonville, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice and may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
