Frank Wayne Baker

Frank (Wayne) Baker Frank (Wayne) Baker, age 82, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at Grand River Health Care, Chillicothe, Missouri. Wayne was born the son of Fred and Gertrude (Pratt) Baker on June 2, 1934, in Breckenridge, Missouri. He was united in marriage to June Walker on December 1, 1956 in San Diego, California. She survives the home. Wayne worked as a Correctional Officer for the Missouri Department of Corrections for 21 years. He was a member of the Chillicothe Moose Club. Wayne enjoyed writing short stories and kept a daily journal, his cats Blackie and Nuisance, decorating his mobile home and jeep for Christmas. Wayne was a member of the Navy for four years. Survivors include wife June of the home; one son, Sam Baker and wife Mary of Chillicothe, Missouri; two daughters, Cindy Hayes and husband John of Chillicothe, Missouri, Gayle Asche and husband Rick of Milwaukee, Oregon; two brothers, Ron Baker of Chillicothe, Missouri, Fred Baker of Sampsel, Missouri; one sister Diane Graves and husband Ben of Chillicothe, Missouri; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one great-grandson. Wayne will greatly be missed by all. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 7, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Mount Olive Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
