Frances Edna Wilson, age 99, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Wright Memorial Hospital, Trenton, Missouri.

Frances was born the daughter of James Luther and Edna Frances (Hurt) Wagner, on March 22, 1925, in Spickard, Missouri. She was a 1943 graduate of Trenton High School, Trenton, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Leo “Myrl” Wilson on April 12, 1945, in Louisville, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on February 27, 2003. Frances worked as an abstractor for Kanan Abstract Co. for over 25 years.

Frances was a member of the Chillicothe United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 25, as well as the Red Hatters, the Culture Club and the Garden Club of Chillicothe. She enjoyed going to the YMCA and swimming. She also enjoyed playing cards and golf. Frances loved spending time with her grandson and great grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Richard Myrl Wilson, of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter, Sally Jo Gilliam, of Chillicothe, Missouri; one grandchild, Reilly Gilliam and wife, Rebeka, of Chillicothe, Missouri; two great grandchildren, Pepper Lynn and Corbin Reilly Gilliam; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo Myrl; four brothers, Earnest Wagner, Harold Wagner, J.L. Wagner and James Wagner; three sisters, Irene Nichols, Norma Wile and Alma Lee Lisle.

Graveside services will be held at Edgewood, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, March 29, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home on Thursday, March 28, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children and/or Backpack Buddies Program and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
