Frances L. Reeter, age 93, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Frances was born the daughter of Edgar and Lela May (Glore) Willard on May 10, 1927, in Livingston County, Missouri. She was a 1945 graduate of Chillicothe High School. She was united in marriage to Roger Reeter on September 21, 1947, in North Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 18, 1972. Frances worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for over 35 years. She was a member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, where she served as trustee for 3 years, and as treasurer for over 20 years. Frances was also a member of the Busy Homemakers. She enjoyed antique collecting, YMCA water aerobics and water volleyball, cooking, music and singing, spending time with family, and playing cards.
Survivors include one son, Roger Douglas Reeter of Chillicothe, Missouri; two daughters, Susan Gail Thorne and husband Pat of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Cheryl Kaye Gifford of Rolla, Missouri; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger; one son, Stephen Reeter; six brothers, Herbert, Leonard, Lester, Russell, Delbert and Clifford Willard; two sisters, infant, Vivian May Willard, and Rosalee Hoyt.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri. Friends may call on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, from Noon until 8:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri.
