Frances “Fran” Marie Haas
Frances “Fran” Marie Haas, age 75, a former resident of Chula, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri, surrounded by family. Fran was born the daughter of Jack and Delores (Childers) Lewis on May 21, 1948 in Wheeling, Missouri. She was a 1966 graduate of Wheeling High School. On September 10, 1971, Fran was united in marriage to Charles “Ronnie” Haas at Chula Presbyterian Church. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2018. Fran spent her life dedicated to farming and her family. She was active in the Chula Presbyterian Church, Chillicothe Elks Lodge #656, and a former member of the Chamber of Commerce, where she had been awarded Farmer of the Year. She loved to sew and was a member of the Quilter’s Club at the First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include one son, Jeff Westcott and wife Kati; one daughter, Angie Stover and husband Michael; grandchildren, Brooke Westcott and son, Graham, Courtney Haakonstad and husband, Hunter, and Skylar and Maci Stover, all of Chula, Missouri; one brother, Jerry Lewis and wife, Donna of Chillicothe, Missouri; one sister; Jackie Bragg of Chula, Missouri; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Ronnie.

Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. A visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Plainview Cemetery and/or the Chula Community Center and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
