Forrest L. Willis Forrest Willis lived a grand life for over ninety-five years and passed away on December 15, 2011 in Rolla, Missouri at the Phelps County Regional Medical Center. She was married for fifty-five years to Morris Willis. The couple met in the Army during World War II and married on an Army base in North Carolina. Mrs. Willis was an Army nurse and Mr. Willis was Major working with the development of radar for Army application. It was during those Army years that two children were born. G. Darryl Willis was born in North Carolina and Robert M. Willis was born a few years later in El Paso, Texas. Mrs. Willis came to Chillicothe, Missouri in 1950 when her husband became City Engineer. She spent most of her years in Chillicothe and recently moved to Rolla, Missouri to be closer to her family. She loved the outdoors, animals, and particularly to fish. Catching trout on a fly rod always brought a smile to her face. She was always surrounded by animals and there were many dogs and cats over the years. She loved them all. Family was always important and she was blessed with children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her son Darryl and wife Tish live in the Boston, Massachusetts area. Her Grandson Mark and wife Wendy and Great Granddaughter Haley live in the Boston area. Grandson Chris and wife Jill, and Great Granddaughter Grace are also residents of Massachusetts. Grandson Andy and wife Julianna live in Concord, North Carolina with sons Grant and Andrew. Her son Bob lives in Rolla, Missouri and spent many years searching for the best fishing place with her. Those trips always brightened her day. Granddaughter Robin Wilson, husband Tommy and daughter Breanna live in Edgar Springs, Missouri, and Granddaughter Erin Wills and Jay Schweig live in Lawrence, Kansas. Forrest will be greatly missed by all of her friends and family. Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. A visitation for friends and family will be held at Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe on Saturday, December 17, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friends may call the funeral home on Saturday from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
