Forrest Alvin Reeter, age 77, a resident of Dawn, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.
Forrest was born the son of Leo C. and Arminta (Davis) Reeter on March 29, 1944, in Jamesport, Missouri. He served in the Missouri National Guard. Forrest was united in marriage to Nancy VanDusen on January 23, 1965, at St. Columban Catholic Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. She survives of the home. He worked in the tool and die department for Donaldson's Company for 38 years. Forrest enjoyed farming and raising cattle. He loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Reeter of the home; two sons, Jamie Reeter and wife Ginger of Dawn, Missouri, and Justin Reeter of Dawn, Missouri; one daughter, Annette Havlik and husband Bob of Osceola, Iowa; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother, Virgil Reeter of Jamesport, Missouri; one sister, Charlotte Bashford of Sarasota, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Linda Watts and Mary Dickerson; and five brothers, Junior, Jim, Albert, Raymond, and Tom Reeter.
Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. A Parish Rosary will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. with visitation to follow. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at St. Columban Catholic Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
