Forestina May Clary, age 88, a resident of Hamilton, Missouri, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri.
Forestina was born the daughter of Clyde F. and Edith A. (Groves) Rogers on October 3, 1931, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was a 1949 graduate of Central High School, Kansas City, Missouri. She was united in marriage to James "Dick" Clary on February 3, 1951, in Kansas City, Missouri. He preceded her in death on September 5, 2000. Forestina worked for the IRS, Macy's and for King Louie International. She also worked as a supervisor for a market research firm for several years. She was a member of The Grace and Glory Tabernacle Church, Kansas City, Missouri. Forestina enjoyed crocheting Afghans for her grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter, Dixie Hale and husband Ray of Green Ridge, Missouri; five grandchildren, Lisa Gray and husband Robert of Kingston, Missouri, Brooke Barnett of Hamilton, Missouri, Michael Barnett and wife Kristan of Woodbridge, Virginia, Jennifer Setter of Marshall, Missouri, and Jessica Hale of Marshall, Missouri; fifteen great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; one sister, Ann Lawrence of Colorado; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dick; one daughter, Christina Barnett; stepmother, Selma Rogers; three brothers, John, Tim, and Bob Rogers; and one sister, Esther Manning.
Funeral services will be held at the Fellowship Worship Center, Cameron, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Fellowship Worship Center, Cameron, Missouri, on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, Braymer, Missouri, on Monday, October 14, 2019, from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Cottage Grove Cemetery, Cowgill, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cottage Grove Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
