Floyd Edward Spainhour, age 86, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019, at Hedrick Medical Center.
Floyd was born the son of Everett and Lula L. (Seaman) Spainhour on February 9, 1933, in Avalon, Missouri. He served in the United States Navy from 1951 until 1971, during the Korean War and Vietnam. He was united in marriage to Mary "Aerwana" Foxworthy on September 9, 1952. She preceded him in death on June 30, 2003. He was united in marriage to Jennifer Abala on May 11, 2006, in Cebu, Philippines. She survives of the home. Floyd worked as a farmer, and raised hunting dogs and dairy cattle. He enjoyed hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer; two sons, Floyd Eugene Spainhour of Grandview, Missouri, Johann Hendrick Abala Spainhour of Hale, Missouri; three daughters, Mary Alice Duffer and husband John of Bedford, Missouri, Tawanda Lydia Abala Spainhour of Hale, Missouri, and Aerwana Dionesia Abala Spainhour of Hale, Missouri; ten grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two brothers, Claude Spainhour and wife Kelly of Chula, Missouri, and Kent Spainhour of Chillicothe, Missouri; and two sisters, Sharon Narr and husband Terry of Wheeling, Missouri, and Peggy Marples of Springfield, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Carl Everett Spainhour; one grandson, Nickolas Lee Spainhour; brother, Harold Spainhour; and niece, Linda Spainhour.
Funeral Services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, December 28, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, December 27, 2019, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, December 27, 2019, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Plainview Cemetery, Chula, Missouri.
