Floyd Lee Hutcherson Floyd Lee Hutcherson, age 75, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. Floyd was born the son of William T. and Fontella (Ellis) Hutcherson on August 1, 1940, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He served in the United States Navy from 1960 until 1962. He was united in marriage to Ruth Ann Hughes on October 3, 1964, in Hale, Missouri, at his parent's home. She survives of the home. Floyd worked as a meat cutter for John Graves Food Service for 35 years. He then worked as a corrections officer for Crossroads Correctional Center in Cameron, Missouri, for 10 years, and then at the Chillicothe Correctional Center for 5 years. He owned and operated the My Skating Rink in Chillicothe, Missouri, for 26 years. Floyd was a member of the Free Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. He enjoyed camping, traveling in a motor home, and working in his yard. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann of the home; one daughter Laurie Thomas and husband Joe of Chillicothe, Missouri; one grandson, who he raised, Dylan Waterman of Chillicothe, Missouri; four grandchildren, Brad Mathews of Chillicothe, Missouri, Chad Mathews of Lincoln, Nebraska, Amanda Jennings of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Kaylee Mathews of Chillicothe, Missouri; one great grandchild, Ava Jennings of Chillicothe, Missouri; three brothers, John Edward Hutcherson of Hale, Missouri, Donald Hutcherson of Bedford, Missouri, and his twin brother, Lloyd Hutcherson of Macon, Missouri; and two sisters, Carolyn Shields of Carrollton, Missouri, and Dorothy Peacher of Pleasant Valley, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lisa Lynn Waterman; two brothers; and six sisters. Funeral services will be held at the Free Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, January 10, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, January 9, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, January 9, 2016, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri.
