Florence Elizabeth Jeffries

Florence Elizabeth Jeffries, age 95, a resident of Hale, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2011 in Carrollton, Missouri. Florence was born the daughter of Powell Hill and Rosila May Penrose (Poire) Young on June 20, 1915 near Bosworth, Missouri. On January 11, 1932, she was married to Ercil Clayton Jeffries in Hale, Missouri. To this union, three sons were born; Ellis Lee, Edwin Lyle, and Darrell Clayton. She was a member of the Grace Club, a charter member of U.S. Army Mothers Post # 40 Hale, Missouri, and a charter member of the Rebekah Lodge No. 861 of Hale, Missouri. She is survived by one son; Ellis Lee Jeffries and wife Janice; and one daughter-in-law, Helen Jeffries; 12 granchildren, 18 great-grandchilren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ercil, 2 sons, Darrell and Edwin, her parents, five brothers, and four sisters.
