Fred Cook Fred Leslie Cook, Jr., son of Fred Lindsay and Eva Adaline Davis Cook, was born, June 15, 1937 in Chariton County, Missouri. He departed this life, Monday, January 9, 2012, in Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of seventy-four years, six months and twenty-five days. On April 18, 1986 in Chillicothe, Missouri he was united in marriage to Sandra Sue Walker. Together they shared twenty-five years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Hugh E. Cook; two sisters, Frances Crowe and Mary Buck and a granddaughter, Leslie Ann Cook. Survivors include his wife, Sandy Cook of Montreal, Missouri; two daughters, Beverly Rose Howe and husband Steve of Wheeling, Missouri and Connie Ann Burton and husband Nelson of Chillicothe, Missouri; a son, Leslie Wayne Cook and companion Vickie Lingard of Meadville, Missouri; a step-son, Jason Lee Stark and wife Gail of Liberty, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Tanya Letourneau and husband Brian of Florida, Darla Govoni and husband David of Massachusetts, Lendy Donoho and husband Jimmy of Wheeling, Missouri, Jana Brobst and husband Jason of Chula, Missouri, Melissa Vestal and husband Bobby of Moberly, Missouri, Matthew Burton and wife Sarah of Springfield, Missouri, Tara Griffin and Misty Lingard both of Trenton, Missouri and Zachary Stark and Elizabeth Stark both of Liberty, Missouri; nine great-grandchildren, Jeri and Steven Govoni, Hope and Howie Donoho, Gunner Brobst, Allyson and Brody Vestal, Gabby Griffin and Payton Hanes; two sisters, Elaine Alexander and husband Charles of Topeka, Kansas and Fern Hobbs and husband Joe of Chillicothe, Missouri and. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Fred was raised in Livingston County, Missouri and attended school there where he received several awards in F.F.A. He worked for Donaldson's and Hinnen Trucking. He also farmed on the side. He then pursued a career in plumbing having worked for Cunningham Plumbing, Constant Plumbing and was the owner of Cooks Plumbing. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, bowling and reading. He played golf whenever he could and enjoyed classic country music. He loved living in the Ozarks where he could fish and hunt. He had a wonderful sense of humor and liked to tease friends. Most of all, time spent with his family was precious to him. He was a loving and a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he created for his family and friends. A family visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2012 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton, Missouri. There will be a family visitation one hour prior to the service on Saturday, January 14, 2012, from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe. Memorial donations may be made to Ha Ha Tonka State Park and left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
