Evelyn Jean Evans Evelyn Jean Evans, age 62, a resident of Wheeling, Missouri, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Evelyn was born the daughter of Walter Edwin Jr. and Donna Louise (McCollough) Childs on February 21, 1953, in Chillicothe, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Scott Merrow on March 23, 1996 in Bedford, Missouri. Evelyn worked for Midwest Glove and Walsworth publishing for several years. Survivors include husband Scott of the home; two sons Patrick Evans of Wheeling, Missouri, and Joseph Evans of Snowflake, Arizona; one daughter Nora Evans of Wheeling, Missouri; mother Donna Stringham of Wheeling, Missouri; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father; stepfather Mack Lloyd Stringham; and several aunts and uncles. There are no scheduled services at this time.
