Evelyn Mae Applebury Evelyn Mae Applebury, age 90, a resident of Nora Springs, Iowa, former resident of Ludlow, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2016, at Nora Springs Care Center, Nora Springs, Iowa. Evelyn was born the daughter of Raymond "Ray" Leslie and Oakland Vivian (Vanstane) Snider on January 4, 1926, in Ludlow, Missouri. She was united in marriage to James Edwin "Ed" Applebury on October 11, 1941, in Olathe, Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1998. Evelyn was a homemaker and worked for Montgomery Ward's in Austin Minnesota for 10 years. Survivors include: one daughter, Cathy Hrubetz and husband Jim of Mason City, Iowa; one son, Daryl Applebury and wife Susan of La Crosse, Wisconsin; four grandchildren, Aron Hrubetz of Iowa City, Iowa, and Kailee Hrubetz of Mankato, Minnesota; David Applebury and wife Jocelyn of Spokane, Washington, Nicole Applebury of Becker, Minnesota, Angela Baumann of Retreat, WI, Melissa Robertson of La Crosse, WI; two great grandchildren , Charles Lenser and Isabella Baumann;  one brother, Bill Lintner of Liberty, Missouri; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, father and stepfather James Lintner; husband, Ed; one daughter, Judith Applebury; three sisters, Madoline Schlattmann, Lois Kidd, and Willa Johnson; and one brother, Delbert Snider; two sisters-in-law, Mayvee Davies and Tillie Mosher; three brothers-in-law Emmett Applebury, Carl Applebury and Melvin Applebury. Graveside services will be held at Monroe Cemetery, Ludlow, Missouri, on Saturday, October 1, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Evelyn Applebury Memorial Fund and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
