Eva Eldoris Taylor, age 99, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Eva was born the daughter of Francis Marion and Gussie Lee (Frye) Scott on August 26, 1921, in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. She was united in marriage to Cecil Eugene Taylor on June 28, 1956, in Springfield, Illinois. He preceded her in death on April 14, 1997.   Eva worked as a supervisor for King Radio Corporation in Paola, Kansas, from 1968 until 1995. She was a member of the Chillicothe Red Hatters and Chillicothe Welcoming Hands. Eva lived life on her own terms. She never spoke ill of any person, and welcomed anyone with open arms. She was a gracious and classy lady. Eva had a great sense of humor. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include one son, Mike Taylor and wife Novella of Elgin, South Carolina; two daughters, Linda Wolf and husband Roger, and Janet Kalmar and husband Herb, both of Chillicothe, Missouri; five grandchildren, Michelle Charles of Columbia, South Carolina, Shanda Wagers and husband Aaron of Chillicothe Missouri, Scott Taylor of Sumter, South Carolina, and fiancé Mary Reames of Camden, South Carolina, Jamie Summers and husband Robert of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Neal Wolf and wife Brooke of Chillicothe, Missouri; and eight great grandchildren, Taylor Creech of Columbia, South Carolina, Stella Charles of Columbia, South Carolina, Cameron Dudley of Chillicothe, Missouri, Tucker Wagers, Max Wagers, and Koby Wagers, and Harper Wolf and Jake Wolf all of Chillicothe, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Cecil; six brothers, Harold, Paul, Harrison, Eldo, Donald, and Teddy Scott; and one sister, Alice Miller; and one great grandson, Carson Wagers.
Graveside services will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, Illinois, on Monday, August 16, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., and on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and Thursday, August 12, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at the Litton Ag Center, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand River Multi-Purpose Center and/or Hedrick Medical Center Auxiliary and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O.
