Eva Lou Hawkins

Eva Lou Hawkins Eva Lou Hawkins, age 84, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Sunnyview Nursing Home, Trenton, Missouri. Eva was born the daughter of William Bedford and Effie Naomi (Sanford) Cox on December 26, 1930, in Lubbock, Texas. She was united in marriage to James Hawkins on August 14, 1961, in Clendon, Texas. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1998. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Eva loved dogs, especially Yorkies, sewing and painting. She could play music by ear. Survivors include one son, James "Jimmy" Hawkins and wife Patty of St. Peters, Missouri; one daughter, Judy Hawkins and fiancé Mac Rakes of Trenton, Missouri; three grandchildren, Travis Hawkins of Troy, Missouri, Kyle Hawkins and wife Jessica of Winfield, Missouri, and Ruth Matthews and husband Josh of Chillicothe, Missouri; five great grandchildren, with one on the way; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; brother, Billy Jo Cox; sister, Carolyn J. Bachus; and stepmother, Pearl Cox. Graveside services will be held at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, January 30, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation.
