Eunice Elaine Schmidt Eunice Elaine Schmidt, age 76, a resident of Laredo, Missouri, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011, at Indian Hills Retirement Village, Chillicothe, Missouri. Elaine was born in Trenton, Missouri, on May 13, 1934, the daughter of Dale and Ruth (Hamilton) Kelso. She graduated from Trenton High School in 1952. On August 15, 1953, on the farm near Laredo, Missouri, she married Ray E. Schmidt. She worked as a farmwife alongside her husband on the family dairy farm near Laredo, Missouri. She was an avid reader and loved horses. She was a very family oriented lady, enjoying every moment with her grandkids and cooking big meals for the family. Survivors include her husband, sons Larry Schmidt and wife Carolyn of Laredo, Missouri, and Mark Schmidt and wife Carol of Chillicothe, Missouri; sister Lois Kelsall of Trenton, Missouri; grandchildren Ashley Anne Jones and husband Casey of Laredo, Missouri, Megan Michele Schmidt of Laredo, Missouri, Emily Elizabeth Schmidt of Laredo, Missouri and Jarek Chay Schmidt of Chillicothe, Missouri; and two step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Emory Kelso. Funeral services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Laredo, Missouri, on Saturday, April 30, 2011, at 2:30 p.m. A family visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Laredo, Missouri, on Friday, April 29, 2011, from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call Lindley Funeral Home, Laredo, Missouri, on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held in Stucker Cemetery, Laredo, Missouri.
