Eula Mae Collins, age 85, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away at her home on Sunday, May 27, 2012. Eula was born in Livingston County, Missouri, on November 20, 1926, the daughter of Clarence Earnest and Inez (Burns) Long. She was a 1944 graduate of Chula High School. On March 20, 1971, she was united in marriage to Charles Frederick "Fred" Collins in Dawn, Missouri. He survives of the home. Eula lived all her life in the Chillicothe area. She worked in the bakery department at Hy-Vee and also worked for Lambert Glove Factory and Midwest Glove Factory. Survivors include her husband, Fred Collins of the home; son, Larry Johnson and wife Lynn of Kansas City, Missouri; step son, Alex Collins of Kansas City, Missouri; two step daughters, Vickie Anderson and husband David of Avalon, Missouri, and Donna Collins of Chillicothe, Missouri; two grandchildren, Barry Johnson and Tami Byrd and husband Brian; three great grandchildren, Alexis Byrd, Tyler Byrd and Tanner Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Tom Long; and four sisters, Clara Scott, Thelma Linville, Bernice Long and Jeanie Templeman. Funeral Services will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. A family visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held in May Cemetery near Chula, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association and can be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, PO Box 47, Chillicothe, MO 64601.
