Eugene Fred Boggs,Jr.,  age 71, a resident of Maysville, Missouri and a former resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at his residence.
Eugene was born the son of Eugene Fred Boggs, Sr. and Mary Beth (LaPona) Boggs on May 6, 1950, in Parsons, Kansas. Eugene moved with his family as a young man to Coffeeville, Kansas. He was a 1968 graduate of Field Kindley High School, Coffeeville, Kansas. He enlisted in Marines shortly after graduation and was later deployed to Vietnam where he served with the 3rd Marine Division. After he returned from Vietnam, his detail included guarding the White House.
Eugene is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Lisa Boggs, Salt Lake City, Utah; two granddaughters, Loquita Weaver and Candace Bond: four great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Micah Weaver and Jace and Alanna Harris;  two sisters, Jacquelyn Benning of Coffeyville, Kansas and M J  L'Donna, of Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held at Higginsville Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri, on Wednesday, April 20. 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Online condolences may be made at www.lindleyfuneralhome.com .
