Ethel E Wells

Ethel E. Wells Ethel Wells, age 95, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Indian Hills, Chillicothe. Ethel was born the daughter of Elbert and Eva (Wasson) Browning on April 16, 1917 in Grundy County, Missouri. On March 25, 1933 she was united in marriage to James Scott Utley in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death in 1971. She then was united in marriage to Lawrence Wells on June 27, 1974 in Chillicothe, Missouri He preceded her in death on May 5, 1991. She is survived by two sons, Leon Dale Utley and Donald Utley, both of Chillicothe, Missouri; two daughters, Dixie Milner, and husband, Norman Bradley Milner, and Eva Hayes, both of Chillicothe, Missouri; one brother, Curtis Browning; twenty-nine grandchildren; multitudes of great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren, and five great-great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two daughters, infant Judy Mae Utley, and Leona Gail Gilkey; one son James Utley; three sisters, Ila Hapes, Betty Williams, and Inez Browning; two brothers, Leon and Ernest Browning; two grandsons, William "Bill" Hayes, and John Wayne Utley; and one great-granddaughter, Tiffany Bloss. Services will be held on Wednesday January 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri. There will be a family visitation on Tuesday January 8, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, on Tuesday January 8, 2013 from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. Burial will be held at the Wheeling Cemetery, Wheeling, Missouri.
