Ethel "Lorraine" Scholle, age 81, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021, at Northeast Regional Medical Center, Kirksville, Missouri.
Lorraine was born the daughter of Marvin and Etta Bernice (Starr) Stoneking on March 10, 1940, in Keokuk, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Carlos Eugene Scholle on August 4, 1957, in Bogard, Missouri. He preceded her in death on October 22, 1992. Lorrain earned her GED on August 4, 1997, and was very proud of this accomplishment. She worked in housekeeping for many years. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, Chillicothe, Missouri.

Survivors include one son, Robert E. Scholle and wife Barbara of Kirksville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Christopher, Brandon. Justin, Carlos, and Heath; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Raymond Stoneking of Carrollton, Missouri; four sisters, Mary Lee Gardner of Davenport, Iowa, Loretta Kay of Keokuk, Iowa, Mary Louise Jefferson of Carrollton, Missouri, and Lucinda L. Leeper of Wayland, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carlos; one daughter, Phyllis Elaine Bosley; and two brothers, Bill and Marlin Stoneking.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery, Carrollton, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Funeral Home, P.O. Box 47, Chillicothe, Missouri 64601.
