Emma Lee Dedrick Emma Lee Dedrick, age 92, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Emma was born the daughter of Roy L. and Agnes (Gooch) Sturtevant on August 3, 1923, in Brookfield, Missouri. She was a 1940 graduate of Brookfield High School, Brookfield, Missouri. After graduation, she attended the Chillicothe Business College, graduating in 1942. She was united in marriage to John "Jack" Dedrick on August 4, 1946, in Sedalia, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 1, 2008. Emma and Jack were Co-Owners and she worked as a Bookkeeper for Linn County Auction Company in Brookfield, Missouri, from 1955 until 1973. She and Jack then purchased Chillicothe Livestock and operated it from 1974 until 1996. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. She was also a member of P.E.O. Survivors include two sons, Dan Dedrick and wife Pam of Chillicothe, Missouri, and Tom Dedrick and wife Judy of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; one daughter-in-law, Marsha Dedrick of Independence, Missouri; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and four nieces, Jean Kelly of Kansas City, Missouri, Pat Sturtevant of Olathe, Kansas, Verna Sturtevant of West Wood, Kansas, and Donna Grant of Bentonville, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; one son, John Dedrick; and one brother, Eugene Sturtevant. Funeral services will be held at the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, March 21, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, March 21, 2016, one hour prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Sunday, March 20, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Edgewood Cemetery, Chillicothe, Missouri.
