Ellen Frances Jones Ellen Frances Jones, age 86, a resident of Dawn, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.   Ellen, daughter of Charles B. and Ethel Perryman Jones, was born on April 5, 1932, in Dawn, Missouri. She graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1950. On March 24, 1953, Ellen married David Wendell Jones in Lamar, Missouri. They recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.   Ellen was an active member of the Dawn Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and was a member of the WMU group for many years. Ellen was active as a 4-H leader and loved to sew, garden and cook. She distinguished herself as a lifelong farm wife, helping operate and manage all facets of the farm. Most importantly she loved her family and having everyone together in her home.   Survivors include her husband, David Wendell of Dawn; one son, Charles David (Sherry) Jones of Dawn; four daughters, Maribeth (Eric) Hall, Lee's Summit, Missouri; Carol Ann (Rob) Sykes, Overland Park, Kansas; Karen (Brian) Upton, Dawn, Missouri; Marlene (Delvin) Jackson, Cameron, Missouri; sister-in-law, Eunice Brade of Charlotte, North Carolina; eleven grandchildren; Emily (Jake) Dawson, Tyler Jones, Shaeffer Hall, Alec Hall, Meredith (Dylan) Lange, Lauren Upton, Cole Upton, Nathan Jackson, Anna Sykes, Evan Sykes and Nicole Jackson. She recently welcomed three great-grandchildren to the family. Ellen is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Joyce Carol; sister, Ada (Burch) Harrington; brother, Paul (Margaret Helen) Jones; and brother-in-law, Don Brade.   Funeral services will be held at the Dawn Baptist Church, Dawn, Missouri, on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, November 16, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, November 16, 2018, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at Welsh Cemetery, Dawn, Missouri.
