Elizabeth Kay Sharp
Elizabeth Kay Sharp, age 81, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe, Missouri.
Kay was born the daughter of Floyd and Elizabeth Gail Cornelius, in Kidder, Missouri, on January 19, 1944. Kay was united in marriage to Billy Sharp on November 9, 1963, in Lawrence, Kansas. He survives of the home.
Kay was a member of the United Methodist Church. She was a Dental Hygienist for over 30 years. Kay was the first Dental Hygienist to be employed in Chillicothe. She also owned Fashion Plus Express Women’s Clothing shop and was a case worker for the Livingston County Development Center. She enjoyed playing night time washers and 4-point pitch. She was an avid bowler who also enjoyed dancing and playing the accordion. She had the kindest soul and never complained, even when she was running her kids to all of their activities. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy.
Survivors include her husband, Bill; one son, Steven Sharp (Apryl Green) of Kansas City, Missouri; two daughters, Teri Sharp Baker (Darren) of Richmond, Missouri, and Gail Stark (Jason) of Liberty, Missouri; 7 grandchildren , Andrew Roney, Travis Baker, Zachary Baker, Zachary Stark, Elizabeth Stark, Cayden Sharp and Karsyn Sharp; two greatgrandchildren, Brecklyn Baker and William Baker; one brother-in-law, Jerry Sharp (Carolyn) of Jamesport; one sister-in-law, Connie Riddle (Roy) of Bethany, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Janice Alden; and granddaughter, Amber Baker.
Funeral services will be held at the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled visitation will be held at the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Friends may call at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. Inurnment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe, Missouri, at a later date.
