Elizabeth Eunice Lewis Broughton Petty Elizabeth Eunice Petty, age 92, a resident of Braymer, Missouri, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012, at Golden Age Nursing Home, Braymer, Missouri. I was born February 5, 1920, two miles southwest of Braymer. My parents were Gilbert and Mary (Williams) Lewis. I spent 92 years in and around the area. I attended Sunday school at Braymer United Methodist Church. In April 1929, I became a baptized member. For my first 8 years of schooling, I attended the Tobin Valley School. When I started high school, I attended Braymer and graduated with the class of 1937. On November 20, 1941, I married Clyde Broughton, who was a farmer. On December 19, 1948, Helen Bernice was born. We moved to Cowgill in 1954, so that she could attend school there. In 1959, I started working at the Exchange Bank of Richmond. We moved to Richmond in 1969, to be closer to my work. I retired from the bank on February 29, 1980. Clyde passed away on September 9, 1970. Shortly thereafter, I began to travel around the USA on bus tours. I enjoyed many beautiful sights and gained much knowledge about the 50 states while traveling. In Minnesota, I was able to walk across the Mississippi River on stepping stones. Helen Berniece married Dan Misel in December 1968 and they blessed me with two grandchildren, Chris Misel (Christine) Angie Howell (Randy) and two great granddaughters; Chelsi Marie Misel and Keegan Mae Howell. I married Carl L. Petty on December 10, 1977. We continued traveling together. We were able to enjoy 15 winters together in Texas. In 2000, we moved back to Braymer to be closer to family and friends. I also have one stepdaughter Cathy Gotcher (Deryl) one stepson Bill Petty from Nevada, and 4 step grandsons: Wesley, Nicholas, Austin, and Greg Gotcher. On March 19, 2008, Carl passed away. I am survived by many family member and friends from all parts of the country. I resided at The Golden Age Nursing Home for over 5 years. Funeral services will be held at the Braymer United Methodist Church, Braymer, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Braymer United Methodist Church, Braymer, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, from 12 noon until 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Braymer United Methodist Church, Braymer, Missouri, on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon. Burial will be held at Richmond Memorial Gardens, Richmond, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be made to the Golden Age Nursing Home and/or the Braymer United Methodist Church and may be left at or mailed to Lindley Pitts Funeral Home, P.O.
