Elizabeth Gertrude Benskin Elizabeth Gertrude Benskin, age 97, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016, at Hedrick Medical Center, Chillicothe, Missouri. Elizabeth was born the daughter of Oscar and Bertha (Street) Hughes on June 23, 1919, in Livingston County, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Earl Richard Benskin on August 7, 1942, in Chillicothe, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2013. She helped on the family farm for many years. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Chillicothe, Missouri. Elizabeth was a former member of the Union Baptist Church and was a member of the Women's Mission Group. She was also a member of the Busy Homemakers Club. Survivors include one son, Jerry Benskin and wife Alvina of Chillicothe, Missouri; three daughters, Carol Livingston and husband Jim of Milan, Missouri, Darlene Cervetti and husband Ray of Johnston, Iowa, and Sherry Benskin of Columbia, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Darla Scarborough of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jamie Benskin and wife Theresa of Chula, Missouri, Beth Christopher and husband Jamie of Utica, Missouri, Troy Livingston of Milford, Kansas, Tammy Taylor and husband Jeff of Milan, Missouri, Tyelene Shilton and husband Jared of Ada, Michigan, and Rachelle Pirotte and husband Nick of Clive, Iowa; twenty-one great grandchildren; and one sister, Mildred Bowles of Olathe, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl; one brother, Wayne Hughes; and one sister, Gladys Nibarger. Funeral services will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. A scheduled family visitation will be held at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, June 27, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Monday, June 27, 2016, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at May Cemetery, Chula, Missouri.
