Edythe Maureen Howard Edythe Maureen Howard, age 66, a resident of Laredo, Missouri, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018, at her residence. Edythe was born the daughter of Morris and Millie (Breeden) Jennings on March, 27, 1951, in Grinnell, Iowa. She attended high school at South Shelby High School in Shelbina, Missouri. She also attended some classes at North Central Missouri College. She married Robert Howard June 3, 1984, in Newark, Missouri. He survives of the home. They later moved to the farm in Laredo, Missouri, where they called home for over 30 years. Edythe was a homemaker. She loved to crochet, to embroidery and to needlepoint. She enjoyed scary books and movies as she took a liking to "The Walking Dead," and enjoyed Stephen King novels. She is survived by her husband, Robert, of the home; her mother, Millie Jennings of Newark, Missouri; two sons, Eddie Ash, and wife Kim, of Laredo, Missouri and B.J. Howard and wife, Kaci, of Chillicothe, Missouri; one daughter, Courtney Deaver and Bart Thomas, of Trenton, Missouri; two brothers, Tony Jennings of Illinois and Greg Jennings; and one sister, Mona Young of Monroe City, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Amber Painter of Quincy, Illinois, Gage Vandevender of St. Joseph, Missouri, Skylar Smith of Quincy, Illinois, Kai Ash of Hannibal, Missouri, Jayden Ash of Hannibal, Missouri, Makena Ash of Hannibal, Missouri, Kailey Howard of Chillicothe, Missouri, Dylan Long of Quincy, Illinois and Kelsey Long of Griggsville, Illinois; and two great-grandchildren; Caspian Smith of Qunicy, Illinois and Elizabeth Walker of Quincy, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her father, Morris Jennings, grandparents and a special aunt, Betty Simmons of LaBelle, Missouri, and other aunts and one uncle. There is a scheduled visitation on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home, Laredo, Missouri. She will lie in state from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. at the Lindley Funeral Home in Laredo, Missouri. The family will have a private inurnment at a later date.
