Edna Irene Losh Edna Irene Losh, age 93, a resident of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away at NorthCare Hospice House, North Kansas City, Missouri, on December 16, 2013. Ms. Losh was born on March 13, 1920 to Inman Horner Losh and Charlotte Jane Grabast in Chillicothe, Missouri. Edna was a graduate of Breckenridge High School. She was employed by Southwestern Bell and retired after over 30 years of service. She often commented, she was retired longer than she was employed. She was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Edna was generous and her desire to help others was demonstrated by her donations to charities. She will be remembered for her selflessness, dedication to her family, sense of humor, spontaneousness , bravery in facing challenges, and a role model for women in an era when women weren't encouraged to be independent. The poetic message from Desiderata helped Edna guide her life which says in part...be at peace with God, be cheerful, and strive to be happy. Survivors include many friends and special cousin, Dr. Mary Ann Losh and fiancé, Dr. Robert Fox of Lincoln, Nebraska. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Lucretia Arms and Marjorine Robinson and brother Cletus M. Losh. Graveside services will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Missouri, on Monday, December 23, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation.
