Edgar "Brad" Bradley Barnert Edgar "Brad" Bradley Barnert, age 92, a resident of Chillicothe, Missouri, passed away on Monday, May 29, 2017, at the Missouri Veterans Home, Cameron, Missouri. Brad was born the son of Edgar L. and Marian C. (Bradley) Barnert on December 23, 1924, in Boonville, Missouri. He was a 1944 graduate of Boonville High School. He then graduate from the University of Missouri in 1948 with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Business Administration. He served in the United States Army during World War II from 1943 until 1945. Brad was united in marriage to Dorothy Olebeare on November 1, 1949, in Boonville, Missouri. She preceded him in death on January 23, 2016. He worked as a salesman for Standard Oil Company and Skelly Oil Company for several years. He also worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for many years. He was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, where he served as a Senior Warden, Lay Reader, and Vestry Member. He was also a member of the Chillicothe Masonic Friendship Lodge #89 A.F. and A.M., where he served as Royal Arch, Council, and Commander, Moila Shrine Center of St. Joseph, Missouri, the Chillicothe Vern. R. Glick American Legion Post #25, the Travelers Protection Association serving as secretary and treasurer of Post K and as State Director. Survivors include one daughter, Cathy Payne and husband Larry of Lathrop, Missouri; four grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy; and two sons, Ben Barnert and infant son, Lawrence B. Barnert. Funeral services will be held at the Grace Episcopal Church, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Friday, June 2, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. There is no scheduled family visitation. Friends may call at the Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, Missouri, on Thursday, June 1, 2017, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m. Burial will be held at the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Boonville, Missouri.
